The Election Commission has published a last minute checklist for first time voters ahead of tomorrow’s general election. Younger citizens are advised to assemble the following:

(1) Your polling card
(2) Photo ID
(3) A letter of introduction to a distant rich relative in Phoenix Arizona
(4) A plane ticket to
(5) Anywhere t’fuck but here

Meanwhile Fine Gael have clarified their proposals on the phasing out of compulsory Irish in schools. A spokesbeing for the party read a statement to the effect that; “The ability to converse in Irish won’t be needed where most of ye are going and anyone under 12 will be taught to bleat along to the national anthem”
