Cabinet Christmas Party Ends In Disaster

The Guinness Brewery – now like the economy up in smoke

A major fire at a Fianna Fail piss-up organised by Brian Cowen, Brian Lenihan, Mary Coughlan and other ‘Top Brass’ at the Guinness plant in St James’s Gate plant in Dublin city centre has been contained by fire crews.

Crews from six units of the Dublin Fire Brigade and aerial appliances successfully battled to bring the fire under control and stop it from spreading to nearby government TDs, some of whom are so well marinated that Fire Chiefs feared their combustion.

Motorists were warned to avoid the area surrounding the Victoria Quay and gardaí put diversions in place. Lines of large thicks could be seen scurrying from the site.

It is understood the blaze broke out when the piss-up in a brewery organised by Fianna Fail went disasterously – but all too predictably – wrong.

There is no Luas service on the red line between Blackhorse and Smithfield at present because of the fire, and restrictions to commerce and the economy are in place until further notice because of the budget.
