Bishop To Announce Reflections To Considering Pope

The Bishop of Limerick Donal Murray, who was found to have behaved inexcusably in failing to fully investigate a paedophile priest, has flown to Rome to meet the Pope. The Bishop announced to his congregation at the weekend that he was “reflecting on his decision”. He has thought to have undergone a “reverie”, four “mullings” and a “rethink” since then. It is believed that this is normal procedure in the Catholic Church which, under canon law, makes stuff up as it goes along.

The Bishop is expected to offer his resignation to the Pope who must them decide whether to accept it. It is possible the Pope may reflect, null and rethink. He also has open to him the special Pontifical courses of “fudging”, “dithering” and “Divine Prevarication”.
